Day & Night ; Black & White

Day and Night,

Black and White,

What separates the two is color,

Now I'm sure we can get into scientific explanations as to why day turns to night;
and that their really is no anatomical difference between a black and a white

But for the sake of simplicity we'll use our eyes and,
What you'll see is that the only real difference is color

Now some may have personal preference between day and night but,
To deny that their is beauty in both is no different than denying a human their rights,
Because in the transition from day to night their are many different shades of beautiful;
Just as their many different shades of beautiful people

Now we define a day as good or bad depending on what happened in-between day and night,
So why is it that we judge someone who is black or white based off of color instead of the content within.

You see we both live in the same world and go through the same Day and Night so,
Why are we making it seem as if we are on two different planets,
Instead we should UNITE and close the disparity between Day and Night
Black and white
We are one in the same and together we can make a change.

P.s. Now for those of you are quick to blame I suggest you stop. Playing the blame game never got us anywhere. To deny that there is inequality in our society is like denying the existence of the sun. It's simply clear as day. What we need to do now is UNITE not as "races" but as humans who deserve equality break down the proposed "race wall" that will divide us even more and instead come together and fight ALL injustices occuring in society. We may not see eye to eye on every idea but we can agree that we are humans and  we all deserve equality.
